If you want amazing views of the Aegean Sea, then Santorini is your spot. If you make your way to Oia, you can see beautiful views of the water and parts of the caldera. Can't forget to see the blue domes while there too. Just be mindful though, in the summer there will be lines to take pictures but when we went in February, we had the whole place to ourselves! If you make your way to Thira which is the main town then you'll get a better view of the caldera and have more places to shop. One you've hit those two places, make your way south and hit the black sand beach which is beautiful and a nice quiet place to swim in the sea in the off season.
Sights: 4/5
If you're planning a trip to Santorini, it's important to know what to expect. While the island is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world, it's also true that there's a limit to how much sightseeing you can do here. If you're looking to take in all the sights and sounds of Santorini, a day or two is probably enough time to see everything you want to see. However, if you're looking for a more laid-back vacation experience, then you'll find that Santorini has plenty to offer. From relaxing on the beach to enjoying dinner and cocktails under the stars, there are plenty of ways to unwind and enjoy the island's natural beauty. And if you're feeling adventurous, there are plenty of water sports and activities to keep you busy. Ultimately, your experience in Santorini will depend on what you're looking for in a vacation. So take some time to consider your priorities and plan accordingly.
Food: 5/5
If you're a food lover, then you're in for a real treat when you visit Santorini. The island is home to some of the most delicious and authentic Greek cuisine you'll ever taste. From fresh seafood to savory meats, Santorini has something for everyone. The local chefs use only the freshest ingredients, and their passion for cooking is evident in every dish they serve. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a fine dining experience, you'll find it all here. And of course, no trip to Santorini would be complete without trying some of the island's famous wines. So be sure to indulge in the local cuisine and savor every bite.
Wine: 2/5
While Santorini is known for its stunning scenery and delicious cuisine, it's also a popular destination for wine lovers. The island is home to a unique wine-making tradition that dates back centuries, and the local vineyards produce some of the most distinctive wines in the world. However, it's important to note that the wines from Santorini may not be to everyone's taste. They have a more earthy flavor profile that may not be suitable for those who prefer a sweeter or fruitier wine. That being said, the wines from Santorini are certainly worth trying, especially if you're interested in experiencing something truly unique. The local vineyards use a special technique to grow their grapes in a crown shape close to the ground, which protects them from the harsh summer sun. This results in a wine that is unlike anything you've ever tasted before. So if you're a wine lover, be sure to give the wines from Santorini a try and discover a new world of flavors.

Little story: So we just ate dinner and it was dark as it usually is after dinner. We had a flight to catch back to Athens so we headed back to our car. We go to the parking lot to find our car nowhere to be found. Now this scares us because we thought we parked the car there but it was super dark since it's an island out in the middle of the Aegean Sea. We walk and walk and still can't find our car which is worrying us. Luckily I left my backpack in the car which has an AirTag in it. That's the only reason we found our car and didn't end up stranded on Santorini for the night.
Now does this little story tell you how safe Santorini is? Maybe. We weren't bothered in the dark by anyone or made to feel unsafe. Could this have gone different in the hight of tourist season? Maybe. In our experience, we never felt unsafe.
The island has a unique beach vibe, and the upkeep of the cities reflects that. Some of the areas may appear a little run down, but that's just the effect of the salt in the water. The buildings are eroded, but that doesn't take away from the beauty of the island.
Return Factor: 2/5
As for the destination, it depends on your personal preferences and tastes. While some may find it worth revisiting, others may not. Based on the limited number of things to do on your return, I would rate it a 2/5. However, if you're someone who loves to be near the beach, enjoy delicious food and parties, then you may feel differently. Regardless, it's definitely worth at least one visit, there's no doubt about that!
Overall Rating: 3/5
If you're someone who loves to enjoy a beachside view while savoring some delicious food, then this place is perfect for you! However, even if you're not particularly fond of beaches, you can still visit for the stunning views and mouth-watering cuisine. The only downside is that it might be challenging to find new activities to do on your second or third visit, which is why we find it a bit challenging to rate it any higher.
